Team Spotlight: Parent Giving

The focus of the Office of Parent Giving is to enhance and grow the culture of parent philanthropy throughout the UGA campus.

The goal of the PLC (Parents Leadership Council) Grants Program is to help students thrive and dramatically enhance the undergraduate experience by creating a healthier, safer, and more enriching campus.

Our team works to raise parent major gifts that will have a direct impact on UGA students and university resources. Our office also oversees the Parents Leadership Council. The Parents Leadership Council is a group of highly engaged parents who are eager to be involved on campus and make a direct impact on undergraduate student life. The PLC is the largest venture fund supporter, has awarded grants to student programs all over campus, and has many families who have created their own endowments. We invest in these families’ UGA experience.

My first job was at Sanford Stadium working in the concession stand and selling Coca-Cola in the stands. I had to walk up and down each isle shouting “Cold Coca-Cola”. So embarrassing, but Sanford Stadium is so cool.
