GAIL 101 Courses:

GAIL 101 – All Users

The GAIL 101 All Users course is designed for faculty and staff members who need access to GAIL for official UGA business related purposes that supports fundraising and alumni and donor engagement. Topics covered during this class will include how to locate constituent information in GAIL, how to add constituent data to the system, and how to track gifts and revenue.

GAIL 101 – Student Worker *

The GAIL 101 Student Worker course is designed specifically for student workers, interns, graduate assistants, and temporary workers who need access to GAIL for official UGA business related purposes. Topics covered during this class will include how to locate constituent information in GAIL as well as how to add constituent data to the system. Student Worker classes are assigned in eLC or PEP when an access form is submitted.

Communication Courses:

GAIL Marketing Efforts

The GAIL Marketing Efforts course is designed for staff members who will be processing mass email and postal mail communications. Topics covered during this class will include how to build out postal and email marketing effort frameworks, how to request lists for your efforts, and how to track revenue from solicitations.

GAIL Communications Assistance *

The GAIL Communications Assistance course is designed for  staff and student workers who will be helping their department with outreach via marketing efforts and events. Topics covered during this class will include how to create email content. 

GAIL Events Management

The GAIL Events Management course is designed for faculty and staff members who will be organizing and/or coordinating events for their department. Topics covered during this class will include how to create new events, how to send both email and postal mail invitations, reminders and follow up messages, and how to register invitees.

GAIL Events Assistance *

The GAIL Events Assistance course is designed for student workers or staff members who will help organize and/or coordinate events for their department. Topics covered during this class will include how to register invitees, update attendance, print name tags, and how to build seating charts.

GAIL Research & Prospect Management

The GAIL Research & Prospect Management (RPM) course is designed specifically for fundraisers and development officers who will be actively soliciting prospective donors for major gifts. Topics covered during this class will include how to add prospects to your portfolio, how to create plans and corresponding opportunities, and how to set up prospect email alerts. 

GAIL Fundraiser Assistance

The GAIL Fundraiser Assistance course is designed for staff members who will be working with and supporting fundraisers to help manage their portfolios. Topics covered during this class will include how to edit and update plans and opportunities and how to organize fundraiser portfolios.

Donor Acknowledgements & Stewardship:

GAIL Stewardship & Acknowledgements

The GAIL Stewardship & Acknowledgements course is designed for faculty and staff members who will be managing donor thank you letters and stewarding efforts. Topics covered during this course will include how to review your weekly acknowledgement reports, how to utilize recognition programs, and will cover birthday cards, tributes and other stewarding aspects.

FAME

The FAME course is designed for faculty and staff members who are responsible for monitoring their department’s Foundation funds. Topics covered during this course include differentiating between different types of funds and what reports are appropriate to run to gain information regarding expenses and balances.
