GAIL Update - All output created prior to 3/15/2021 will be deleted

A new service pack (system-wide update) is tentatively planned for October. This update includes changes to the way files in GAIL are encrypted.

So what does this mean for the average user? All output (aka Excel files) created by any of the following processes in GAIL before 3/15/21 will be deleted: export, import, import selection, marketing efforts, event invitations, acknowledgements, correspondence, eft, prenotification, and standing orders.

Don’t panic! GAIL will still retain all appropriate evidence of these outputs (constituent records will still be tagged correctly, etc.). These types of files are typically only retained in the system for 18 months anyways, so this change won’t likely affect your daily use of GAIL.
