Terms + Definitions

Terms and acronyms used on the Annual Giving Dashboard:

SITE – Area of giving

SCU – School/College/Unit

LAG – Leadership Annual Giving

Retention Rate – Percentage showing the rate at which donors are retained year over year; the rate at which donors who gave in the last fiscal year have given in this fiscal year

SCU Retention Rate –The percentage of last fiscal year’s donors to your SCU that have given to your SCU in the current fiscal year

UGA Retention Rate – The percentage of last fiscal year’s donors from your SCU that have given to any UGA designation in the current fiscal year

Recognized Donors – Donors plus any constituents in their household (constituents that would get recognition credit)

OVERVIEW

BLACK – Renewed donors; donors who gave in the previous fiscal year who have given in this fiscal year RED – Reactivated; Previous donors who did not give last fiscal year, but did give this fiscal year

GRAY – Acquired; first-time donors

OVERVIEW (CDAG)

BLACK – Renewed donors; donors from your SCU who gave to your SCU in the previous fiscal year who have also given in this fiscal year

RED – Reactivated; Previous donors from your SCU who did not give last fiscal year, but did give to your SCU this fiscal year

GRAY – Acquired; first-time donors to your SCU that are affiliated with your SCU

CREAM – Renewed donors; donors from your SCU who gave in the previous fiscal year who have given elsewhere at UGA in this fiscal year

BLUE – Reactivated; Previous donors from your SCU who did not give last fiscal year, but did give elsewhere at UGA this fiscal year

GRAY – Acquired; first-time donors from your SCU who have given elsewhere at UGA this fiscal year

 

Commonly Asked Questions

Q: What is the difference between BBIS and Electronic Transfer?

A: BBIS (Blackbaud Information Systems) refers to any gifts made through GAIL donation forms. Electronic Transfers commonly refer to recurring gift transactions but may also include other forms of bank drafts.

Q: What counts as LAG (Leadership Annual Giving)?

A: Gifts between $1,500 and $24,999 are considered LAG gifts
