Click the link below to complete and submit FAME request access form, this is an electronic process using DocuSign. Upon completion of this form, you must also attend a FAME online training class, see class options below for information about each class type. Class attendance is required for obtaining access to the system.

Request FAME access

Online Training

FAME is a financial database that hosts complete fund accounting records such as investment appreciation, expenses, and spending budget calculations.  To gain access to FAME, users must register for, and participate in, one of the two FAME training classes. Once your FAME access request form has been approved and processed, Client Services will reach out to you with next steps regarding class registration.  If you do not already have access to UGA’s eLC online learning system, you must reach out to EITS to get that setup so that you will be able to attend either of the FAME online training classes (see Step 4 from link above).

FAME Training

  •      Report Training

During this class we will discuss the major functions of FAME and the basic layout and navigation of the program. We will also learn about the different types of funds that are housed in FAME and the most common reports that are run. You can use FAME reports to find spending budgets, current fund balances, and itemized lists of expenditures.

  •      FAME Reports & Requests Training

If your school/college/unit is currently using the online FAME webform to process check requests, you will be eligible to register for the check request training class. In this class, we will discuss how to login and navigate the webform. We will also go over any UGA Foundation policies and supporting documentation that you might need to process an expenditure. Finally, we will learn how to submit your check request and navigate its progress through the workflow.

If you are interested in using the online check request webform, but your school/college/unit does not currently have access, please contact David Manley (dmanley@uga.edu) in the Expenditure Control department.
