UGAF@Work Project Update: Architect & Configure Phase

The UGAF@Work project is progressing steadily and is now in the Architect and Configure phase. This critical stage focuses on designing the future state of our systems and processes to align with our business needs.

During this phase, the team is actively configuring the Workday platform and ensuring that our business practices are optimized to leverage Workday’s capabilities. Key activities underway include:
• Mapping business requirements to Workday functionality.
• Defining the financial data model, including cost centers, ledger accounts, and related structures.
• Designing core business processes, such as journal entries and supplier invoice workflows.
• Planning security roles and user access to ensure appropriate controls and permissions.
• Identifying required integrations with external systems (e.g., banks, payroll providers, legacy platforms).
• Scoping data migration, including historical data, opening balances, suppliers, and customers.

We are also beginning initial unit testing to validate that configured processes meet business requirements and that security roles and access controls are functioning as intended. More comprehensive testing will follow in the upcoming Test phase.
