• COLLABORATION VS. CAMPUS ASSISTS: We are continuing to track Collaboration and Campus Assists for those of you with these metrics. Please remember to code your contact reports with the correct category and subcategory.
    • Collaboration: EXTERNAL collaboration > you and a colleague from outside your s/c/u partner for a MEETING where the DONOR/PROSPECT IS PRESENT.
      • Category: Prospect Management AND Sub-Category: Collaboration.
    • Campus Assist: INTERNAL collaboration > meetings, phone calls, emails, etc. that take place with a colleague that is outside of your s/c/u and the donor/prospect is NOT PRESENT.
      • Category: Prospect Management AND Sub-Category: Campus Assist.
 
  • MEETINGS: Initial, Return, Virtual – Our team continues to review each initial and return meeting that is added to GAIL in real time, and the status of these can be tracked by viewing the “Interaction Review” tab found on your Fundraiser Page. Please keep track of and address any “action needed” items so we can most accurately report your progress towards goals. All frontline fundraisers are expected to prioritize face-to-face meetings, but we do realize that not all donors will be comfortable or willing to meet face to face, and for these instances, the exception to face-to-face meetings will be virtual meetings if the donor requests it. An “Initial Meeting” or “Return Meeting” should only be entered as such if the meeting was a scheduled in advance to discuss engagement, partnering, and/or a specific gift or fundraising plan.
    • When entering a meeting (face-to-face or virtual) in GAIL, you should do the following:
      • Enter the contact report or interaction as Initial Meeting or Return Meeting.
      • Identify the type of meeting in the “Summary” or “Objective” line of the contact report i.e. “Return meeting to discuss gift” or “Stewardship via Zoom meeting”.
      • Complete the meeting template that pre-populates into the body of the contact report.
  • PLANNED & PENDING STEPS: Moving forward, a nightly process will run to change all planned steps to a status of “PENDING”. Also, please remember that you can easily see next steps by visiting the “Planned and Pending Steps” tab of Fundraiser page or by using your “Development Workspace”.
