GAIL – A Year in Review

In July of this year, GAIL celebrated its first birthday, and what a year of firsts it has been. We couldn’t have made it to this point without the hard work and dedication of all of you so please allow me to take this opportunity to say thank you.

While it has been a long journey to get to where we are today, we feel that the work has greatly benefited our mission at UGA and here’s just a few of the ways:

Processing Efficiency

  • We committed 87,245 revenue transactions in FY14 (compared to 72,140 in FY13) and 38, 896 gift receipts.
  • 38,464 constituents were added to the database which more than doubles the amount added in FY13.
  • There were 200,343 address records updated throughout the course of the year.
  • 4,628 prospect plans were entered of which
    • 2,145 opportunities were identified/documented
    • 843 opportunities have committed revenue in the first year ($80M of a total $126M)
  • An average of 90% of our ask amount on completed plans was received.

Communications

  • The 5,771,306 Mail Communications made up the following:
    • 1,561,667 Appeal Mailings
    • 2,950,291 Event Invitations
    • 1,190,210 General Correspondence pieces
    • 28,221 Acknowledgement Letters
    • 38,916 Receipts
    • 1,694 Pledge Reminders
    • 307 Tribute Letters
  • The 9,387,417 Email Communications made up the following:
    • 5,938,485 Appeal Mailings
    • 3,448,932 Event Invitations

Miscellaneous Items

  • 997 Events were created resulting in 10,986 Event Registrations
  • 98,510 Prospect Interactions recorded
  • 390 Direct Marketing Efforts created where 26,072 Revenue Transactions were tied to an effort
  • 399 Prospect Research requests entered with 342 completed
  • 300 Gigabytes of data added with Wealth Screening Information
