Direct Marketing Effort Templates

Direct Marketing Effort Templates

To simplify the process of creating Direct Marketing Efforts, Client Services has created mail and email templates for each school/college/unit. All you have to do is copy the template and update the information along with your segments and packages!

Follow the steps below to copy a Direct Marketing Effort…

Navigate to the Marketing and Communications functional area and click Direct marketing efforts.

In the search field, type *template and press enter. A list of pre-made postal and email templates will populate in the search results. Find your naming convention in the list and choose the appropriate template. Click on the drop down arrow to the left of the template name and click copy.

Find your new copied template in the list and click directly on the name.

Once you are in your marketing effort, click on Edit marketing effort under tasks in the top left corner of the screen.

Change the name and description of the marketing effort. (Notice your appeal and site have already been entered.) Then, enter the launch date. This is the date your communication will be sent to the constituent. Click save when you are finished.

Your source code and address processing options have already been entered in your effort settings tab. (But you can adjust these if needed.)

If your marketing effort is NOT a solicitation, remove the Do Not Solicit codes by clicking edit within the exclusions tab.

Click into your segments tab to add your segments and tie them to a package.

Once you have added all your segments, you can calculate, export, and activate your marketing effort.
