Coming Soon: New GAIL Training Classes

Coming Soon: New GAIL Training Classes

Starting in October, the office of Client Services will begin offering two new training classes. These courses will be targeted towards student workers and support staff.

Communications Assistance Training

  • Are there any prerequisite courses? GAIL 101 All Users or GAIL 101 Student Worker
  • Who can participate in this training? This course is available to any full-time or part-time UGA employees who have completed a GAIL 101 training. This includes student workers and graduate assistants.
  • When is this training scheduled? Starting in October, this course will be scheduled on an as-needed basis. GAIL users who have completed Marketing Effort or Events Management training can request a student worker or support staff member to attend this training by emailing askit@uga.edu.
  • What will I learn during this course? This course will cover both sections of GAIL communications: Direct Marketing Efforts and Events Management. During the marketing effort portion, we will cover creating email content with BEE email editor. During the events management portion, we will teach users how to register individuals for an event as well as keep track of attendance.
  • Is there anything else I should know? This class should not be taken by individuals who have already participated in Marketing Effort or Events Management training. Everything taught in the Communications Assistance training is also taught in these two classes.

Fundraiser Assistance Training

  • Are there any prerequisite courses? GAIL 101 All Users
  • Who can participate in this training? This course is available to any full-time UGA employees who have completed GAIL 101 All Users training.
  • When is this training scheduled? Starting in October, this course will be scheduled on an as-needed basis. Fundraisers and Development Officers who have completed Prospect Management training can request a support staff member to attend this training by emailing askit@uga.edu.
  • What will I learn during this course? This course is designed to teach users how to aid fundraisers with data entry on their portfolios, as well as keep track of upcoming communications and meetings with donors. Topics in this class will include: submitting research requests, editing plan steps, filing contact reports, and entering interactions.
  • Is there anything else I should know? This class cannot be taken by student workers or graduate assistants. This class should also not be taken by individuals who have already participated in Prospect Management training. Everything taught in the Fundraiser Assistance training is also taught in Prospect Management training. However, it does make for a nice refresher course.
